Investiture of Three New Novice Monks

Sunday, September 11th at 5pm, the Saint John's Community will welcome

Richard Crawford, Isaac Lopez, and David Allen as Brothers into the monasic community.

After at least a year of discernment and prayer, these three men will publicly mark the beginning of their lives as novice monks of Saint John’s Abbey, symbolized by donning the Benedictine habit – cassock, scapular, belt and hood. The community of monks, faculty, staff and students will gather at evening prayer to welcome and encourage Richard, Isaac and David in seeking the mercy of God and fellowship in the community that is Saint John’s Abbey.
