Every year on September 11th, at 7:00 am, the monastic community of Saint John's Abbey gathers at Morning Prayer to witness the investiture of the novices. This year is no exception. As Morning Prayer in the Abbey Church is a service which is open to the public we invite all who would be interested to come and be present for our new novices to "take the habit". The service marks the beginning of their novitiate or first year of life as a novice of our monastic community. The service is relatively brief (approximately 30 minutes) but very moving. Please know that you are most welcome to be with us on that solemn occasion!

A short reception with light refreshments will be held in the Great Hall afterward . Again, all are welcome!
