Welcome to the Saint John's Abbey Virtual Vocations Office

Br Paul2 head shot.jpgHere in the Vocations Office we receive questions concerning nearly every aspect of monastic life. Asking these questions is very important to honest vocational discernment. Such discernment naturally produces uncertainties and a variety of challenges since following a vocation entails following Christ in a new way. If some of these uncertainties can be resolved by simply asking a question, then why wait?

With this in mind, we would like to welcome your questions about Benedictine monasticism and life here at Saint John's Abbey. Not every question will be published on this page, but we will try to address every question by either publishing a video or written response, or personally through email.

Below, you will find both short articles and videos addressing some of the more frequent questions and concerns of those discerning Benedictine monasticism and life at Saint John's Abbey.

Peace,

Br. Paul-Vincent Niebauer, OSB
